Job Description: The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University (ECU) is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level. Tenure track or fixed term appointment is available. The new faculty member recruited to this position will contribute to and enhance the departmental education mission in human gross anatomy, with teaching responsibilities to a variety of professional students. In addition, this new faculty member will contribute to the departmental research missions in cell biology with an expectation to compliment the strengths of ongoing research in the department and participation in training of graduate students.

The distribution of activities in teaching, research and service will depend upon the qualifications of the individual recruited to the position. Significant experience, interest and enthusiasm toward teaching in the basic anatomical disciplines are required. The faculty member will have the opportunity for participation in collaborative intradepartmental and interdepartmental research activities.


Minimum Qualifications: The applicant must have a Ph.D. degree from an appropriately accredited institution in Anatomy or Anatomy & Cell Biology. Candidates holding a Ph.D. or D.Sc. in a closely related field may be considered based on their experiences following the receipt of that degree.
